Read between the lines 3

Hello. It's been a long time since I wrote about songs, so I'm here to correct that mistake. (Read between the lines tag is on the right under "Labels".) This time, I won't write about powerful songs and their meaningful lyrics. Today my topic is s-e-x. I should probably tell you that this is not recommended for persons under the age of 12?
  1. Extreme - More Than Words. He doesn't want her to say she loves him. She needs to prove him her love with something else than words. I won't say anything else.
  2. Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax. Shoot in the right direction, go after your intention... But just relax. Don't do it. He's coming. Hmm, yeah, real relaxation song, right?
  3. Flo Rida - Whistle. Oh seriously? You didn't see this one? Yeah, Flo Rida is not teaching us how to actually whistle. He was 33 when this song was released; I think he already knows how to whistle. There's some other thing people do with lips like that. And half-naked people in the video should have been only a confirmation.
  4. The Pointer Sisters - I'm So Excited. Now, I love this song and I still sing it in any life moment when I'm excited about something but this is a song about that special night. If you ask me, this is a good song about it. It's actually teaching us there need to be feelings involved, it's OK to be nervous and excited. After all, you'll remember this your whole life.
  5. Aqua - Barbie girl. She says she is blond bimbo girl and she wants him to dress in anything tight. He can touch her, play with her, do whatever he wants. And then: "Let us do it again"?
  6. Christina Aguilera - Genie in a Bottle. She didn't do it quite a long time and now she is looking for a new guy. She is hormonal and can't wait for a song to be over so they can go. And before anything, he needs to make a right move and she has to like it. Also, he needs to rub her the right way...
  7. Village People - YMCA. Well, of course. This is ultimate party song, but have you known what it is really about? As far as I know YMCA is a motel/hotel/something where young gay men would go to feel accepted and right. Now, I'm not getting into gay-OK or gay-not OK, but this is clearly a song about sex. It's being sung by 6 men in different suits (usually sexy - police officer, fire fighter, construction worker,...).
  8. Donna Summer - Hot Stuff. This song doesn't have any hidden message. She is at home, bored, looking for somebody to have fun with. She is looking for a hot lover. And she needs it this evening!
All of the above.
Do tell me what you think about this and if you have any suggestions for new "Read between the lines" post, leave a comment below. You can either name some songs and I'll try to make a category for them or tell me the title and category and I'll put together a list.

Read between the lines 2

Hey.
My previous post Read between the lines was very successful and, judging by your comments, you really liked it. So I decided to make another one with the same topic. Before I start I want to tell you that ever since you commented on that post, I can't stop listening to "Bonfire Heart", "Let Her Go" and "Pretend It's OK". These are really amazing songs. Thank you! Also, I have to inform you that I've discovered some new artists and here are links to their performances. Ilma Karahmet - Ima jedan svijet, Doktori - Cesarica, Lena Zatkoska - I will always love you, Stefan Koković - Baila Morena, Danijel Kajmakoski - Counting stars, Aleksa Perović - Bailamos, Maja Novaković - Girl on fire, Uroš and Vladimir - Unchain my heart, Doktori - She will be loved. So there are lots of links here and if you don't feel like listening to them all, trust me, you do! They are all awesome and some of them really sound like the original. (And some of the guys are really cute.) And now I'll start with my top 6 this time:
  1. Bon Jovi - It's My Life. The title says it all. You only live your life once, so do it well. Don't underestimate yourself and stand your ground. Find yourself in this world and stand by it. Learn from your mistakes cause nobody will erase them for you.
  2. Christina Aguilera - Hurt. This is actually a song for the ones you have lost. You would do anything to see that person one more time and you're constantly wondering if they're looking upon you. You wanna know what they think. Unfortunately, we often have no idea what we have until we lose it. Appreciate what you have while you still have it.
  3. James Morrison and Nelly Furtado - Broken Strings. Relationship is over. This song is for all those people who keep coming back into the bad relationship. You can't do that. There's nothing there anymore to go back to. You can't feel something if your heart tells you otherwise.
  4. Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell - Ain't no Mountain High Enough. There's nothing that could stop you from being with your darling. True and real love doesn't know boundaries and obstacles. So, there isn't any good excuse for you not to help or be there for your better half.
  5. Simply Red - If You Don't Know Me By Now. Great song for those who love to fight and break up immediately. This song tells you to calm down and sort things out. There's no need to get in a huge fight. We all have our crazy moments and if you're in a relationship, the other person should know them. They should know how to deal with it. If you don't know it then you're not a good match.
  6. The Script and Will.I.Am - Hall of Fame. Great song for lifting up your mood. It's a song about never giving up and reaching your goals. Everything is possible if you just believe. Do something that makes you happy and leave your mark on this Earth.
And this would be it. I decided to make a post like this every now and then. You are free to suggest your own songs and I'll put them in my posts.
P.S. I really hope you'll listen to these links in the beginning because they're great.
Bye till the next time :)

Read between the lines

Hi :)
Long time no talk. I'm sorry for my absence, I had a really busy week that continues but I managed to get some free time for you all :). Just for information, yesterday was my B-day and it felt kinda weird because it was just a regular day. Nothing special, and I remember the times when I was jumping up and down all day on my birthday... Oh well, I grew old :P...
Today, I wanted to tell you more about songs we listen every day. I picked only what I like. You, of course, don't have to like them but I think you also won't be able to deny any of my arguments. We'll see... So, here we go... (Order is not important, it just came to me in this one... And every song is a link to YouTube.)
  1. Katy Perry - Roar. At first, nothing special. Than I looked at the lyrics and I was actually surprised that it has a meaning behind all this roaring. It's about standing up for yourself. You had enough with all the underestimating and agreeing to everything without a right to say your opinion. Finally, you found a tiger and a lion in yourself and, now, you're fighting for you and your opinion.
  2. Beyonce - Listen. This lady always amazes me, but this song is special. This lyrics are so deep and I can relate to every word. This one is also about standing up for yourself. You have dreams that can't be shut down, they must be heard and realized. Nobody understands you but you have to stand on your two feet and go though life. Strong and determined to be happy. It's about waking up you inner self that nobody takes the chance to meet.
  3. Katy Perry - Part of me. Great song. you finally found something that nobody can't take away form you - you. Your thoughts, plans, dreams... There's nothing more someone can do to you, you're stronger than ever. The military video only makes me love this song even more (I've written in previous posts that I love army). This is the best you'll ever be and past is behind you. Moving on is the best thing for you and now you're life is better.
  4. Alicia Keys - Superwoman. Real confidence booster. To all the strong women out there, to all the mothers, sisters, daughters, nieces, grandmothers...We are strong. Nobody actually knows everything about us. We're mystery and people often mistake us for being weak and too emotional. You have no idea... Say to yourself, every day, "I'm a superwoman!!!".
  5. Eminem - Not afraid. I love Eminem and his songs, but this one has a special place in my heart. I especially love the last part, about facing your demons and putting your life back on the right tracks. I feel amazing, I'm gazing the stars, shooting for the moon... Amazing lyrics. This song can remind you that you don't have to be afraid to be yourself. You can change for the better, be the person you want to be any time. You just have to believe it. And yes, I see that this song has alcohol addiction in itself, but the message in it can be applied into every day of our lives. Take your life into your hands and take responsibilities for your actions. Love your new life.
  6. Beyonce - I was here. It's about leaving the mark on this world. Making yourself important, your life and work here matters. You want to make a difference. In a positive way. Also a great motivational song to listen to every single day.
Of course there are hundreds of song like this, but these are the first six songs that came to my mind. If you remember any other, feel free to comment.
Have a great day :)
They make me STRONGER !!!!!
